Impermanent Landscape is an evening length performance in the round inspired by the ideas of cubism, perspective, perception, and impermanence. Breaking the 4th wall and moving choreography outside of the traditional stage and audience formats, Impermanent Landscape features the geometry and architecture of overlapping bodies, creating it’s own personal landscape surrounded by a visual art installation. Valerie _Green

Impermanent landscape

I composed the music for Impermanent landscape using a bed of sounds and 6 video sensors that are triggered by the dancers movements. I drew inspiration from the pioneering American Composers of the mid 20th Century. Lucia Dlugoszewski, Virgil Thompson, Henry Cowell and John Cage. The score has it's own landscape that is different every performance.
